Sat in her home in Arizona, my Rohingya friend tells me how she tries very hard to send money to her family back in Myanmar and Bangladesh every month. It’s sometimes difficult to give because she and her husband don’t make a lot of extra money. However, she still desires to share and help her family from the small amount she has.
I tell my friend how it’s so good she helps her family and that God sees her generosity and honours that. I share with her the story of Elijah and the widow from 1 Kings 17, how God miraculously provided for the widow when she shared what little she had with Elijah.
At the end of the story I tell my friend, “As you share what you have with your family, God will provide for you and your family here in Arizona. He knows exactly what you need.” My friend smiles, enjoying the story and its sentiment.
-Please pray for our friends to see God’s provision for their families in the U.S. and also overseas.
-Please pray for Rohingya families in the U.S. to hear and accept the gospel and that God would use them to share the gospel with their family members all over the world.
